So, apparently, it’s fandom appreciation week. 

And, obviously, my biggest fandom is Glee.

Like every fandom, we certainly have our problems (ship wars, character bashing, etc) but for the most part, I’m proud to be a part of this community. Because that’s what our fandom is. Glee isn’t just a show we watch, it’s a movement, and we, the fandom, are the community that appreciates and spreads that movement.

We look out for each other and we vent about our emotions together and we love and sob about our fictional bbys together.

And I want to thank every single one of you for making me feel better about all the thinking and emotions I have centered around Glee.  And you guys don’t make me feel like I’m ‘overthinking things’ or being ‘overemotional.’

I pay attention to symbolism, I’m empathetic, and that’s why this show speaks to me in the volumes that it does. Because, when push comes to shove, Glee is important.
